Beach Week!

It wouldn’t be summer without a trip to the beach and Seaside is one of the best vacation spots in all of Free Realms.  There’s so much to do once you arrive at the Seaside warpstone. You can swim in the cool waters, take in the sights from the top of the playground or fight your way through the Cray Caves battle encounter!

We also have the new Seaside lots! The Seaside – Cliffs is available now and a new Seaside – Beach lot will be available later this week!  There are also awesome beach decorations for your house.

It’s the Free Realms Home Show! The Home Show is a spotlight for all sorts of creative decorating techniques submitted by our players! From the elegant to the outrageous, you never know what you’ll see next!

Today’s Home Show is a Small Wilds House from Roland Spore of the Gone Postal guild. Here is what he has to say about his house:

The original concept was to make a steampunk house so I started by filling the indoors with elements to make it feel like a cluttered workshop. I placed some enormous steam pipes through the house and had them poke through the exterior walls and that inspired the outside look.

The outside has become a jumble of enormous cranes, steam vents, and mechanical arms, many of them topped with dance floors. I tried to create the outdoor workshop feel by placing tables and clutter near all of the giant machines – places where Roland Spore can take notes and store blueprints for his creations.

Many areas look inaccessible because I didn’t create any staircases or jumping blocks, but clever players will realize that running and jumping across the crane arms will give access to virtually everything in the yard. The only element to which I tried to restrict access is the barrel-chested crane in the front of the house. Enjoy.

Summer Camp continues with Racing Week and we have one of the fastest games in all of Free Realms….kart racing!

This Thursday and Friday we are gathering at the Wildwood Speedway, just south of the Crossroads Warpstone for some fast and furious kart racing action.

If speed isn’t your thing, we’ll be having a party just outside the race course. We’ll see you on the track! Wear a helmet.

Located just north of Merry Vale, the happiest town in all of Free Realms, there is a dark and creepy set of caves. The locals call it the “Den of Secrets”.

Over the years many Merry Vale citizens have gone missing. Some believe the missing may have ended up in the Den of Secrets. Adventurers have gone seeking answers…but never returned! That is because the caves are guarded by Shamblers.

If you speak to some of the vendors around Merry Vale you will find more rumors about these mysterious and dangerous caves. Of course Mayor McFairy says there is nothing to worry about…but he would say that, wouldn’t he?

Racing Week!

Put the pedal to the medal and rev up those engines. It’s racing week! There are awesome race tracks and demolition derby arenas waiting to see if you have what it takes to take the checkered flag.

This is the week to level up your Kart Driver and win some trophies. It’s also a great time to try out some of the racetracks (there are five of them!) or bash your opponents on the Demolition Derby course.

Of course, racing doesn’t always mean heading to the kart track. You can race your friends across Free Realms on foot or on one of your rides. You can also take a hoverboard to one of the race tracks built in someone’s house. It’s up to you.

Whatever you do this week…do it fast!

Some ingenious builders have taken blocks and moving platforms normally used to decorate houses and built themselves a huge playground in Snowhill. It’s a great place to practice your jumping skills.

You must use the launchpads to get to the lower levels of the playground. If you jump really well you can try to make it all the way to the top where you can collect a daily treasure.

Can you make it to the clouds at the top without falling? It isn’t easy. There are disappearing blocks that only the most skillful can cross!

Gather yer crew on the shores of Seaside and party on the pier! Members can try their luck at the Pirate’s Plunder minigame. Collect gold and capture yer prize! When you aren’t sailin’ the seas we’ll be dancin’ on the beach.
